There was a Personal Trainer on Facebook last week who shall remain nameless complaining that her client had asked for a refund.
Here is what she said:
“I have recently taken on a new client on a single session a week. I knew it would be a financial struggle for her and explained she would have to do some work outs at home without me if she was to see any progress. She has text me today after 2 sessions saying that 1 a week was not enough to see results and has demanded a refund.”
My advice was to suck it up, refund and learn from it.
Really you shouldn't be taking on clients who are going to struggle to pay you. That's just bad form in my humble opinion.
So how can you learn from it as well and not make the same mistakes?
Don't take on clients that cant afford your services, it will always come back to bite you in the ass. Always without doubt!
Don't sell a clients on to a one session a week package if you truly believe that they need more than that, otherwise you are doing them a disservice.
Learn how to attract the clients that can afford your services and put your prices up accordingly.
Learn how attract these more affluent clients using a subtle mix of a highly converting website, Facebook ads and email marketing.
All the stuff you get when you sign up for our SWAT Personal Trainer Website System.
If you want to have a chat with me about this you can email me right using the contact form and I'll personally get back to you.
